Creamy Chickpea Hummus with Chilli Chickpeas

Ingredients

Hummus

  • 1 ½ cups Cooked chickpeas drained and washed
  • ¼ cup Lemon juice 2 lemons
  • 1 pc Small garlic pod
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Tahini
  • 4 tablespoons Ice cubes
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Sprinkle of ground sumac or paprika

Chilli Chickpeas

  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and washed
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Olive oil to drizzle

Instructions

Hummus

  • In a high-powered blender, combine the chickpeas, cumin powder, lemon juice, roasted garlic and salt. Secret to creamy hummus is 2 cubes of ice. Add ice and process until the hummus is smooth and creamy.

Chilli Chickpeas

  • Mix everything and roast in frying pan for 5 minutes

Serve

  • Serve hummus topped with chilli chickpeas, drizzle of olive oil and chilli powder for some extra deliciousness.
